Vice President, Middle East
Alexander joined BLJ Worldwide in 2018 as part of the management team in Doha, and is responsible both for driving new business with regional and local clients, as well as helping Qatari entities with complex international issues and media relations.
Alexander’s background is in strategic communications, behavioral change and defense. He has provided reputation management services for commercial organizations in the UK and internationally, worked on and executed international government media campaigns, performed in-depth target audience analyses, and provided a wide range of strategic advice to clients at board level, while working with M&C Saatchi, and Hemington Consulting.
His work has always had a strong focus on emerging markets, and in particular the Middle East – both the Gulf and Levant. He studied Arabic and Persian at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, and spent a year at the College of Literature at the University of Damascus. He has lived and travelled widely in the region, including Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and North Africa.
